Edith Elizabeth and Alice Emily Tiedeman, Carrington, Thomas & Co., Charleston

Edith and Alice were the daughters of Otto Tiedeman Jr. and Mary Edith Crietzberg of Charleston. Otto was involved in his father's wholesale grocery business in Charleston. A son, Robert Samuel Tiedeman, was married and widowed twice before marrying Maryliese Jatho from our Charleston Jatho clan in 1942. The photographer was likely Mr. F. Shiffley, who rented a second-floor studio from Carrington, Thomas & Co., a Charleston jeweler, hence the inscription on the cabinet card.
