Marriage portrait of Walter William Paul Gohr and Emily Kruck, Sioux City, Iowa

Year: 1929 • Collection: Gohr

Walter Gohr, born in 1897, was the son of Albert Gohr and Amelia Kersine of Oconto County, Wisconsin. Emily, born in 1901, was the daughter of Wilhelm Kruck and Anna Clay. The marriage was held on June 12, 1929 in Sioux City. Walter's Gohr family was connected to our Chicago Gohr clan via a DNA match, although available records don't tell us the details. Members of the wedding party include Walter's brother Edward. Maid of honor was the bride's sister Margaret Kruck and Helene Sulzbach was a bridesmaid. Virginia Johnson was the charming flower girl.
