Mary Ann Murphy and William Hurley, engagement portrait, Chicago, Illinois

Mary Ann Murphy, born in Ireland, came over with her parents and siblings in 1887 and settled in Chicago. She was the sister of Owen Patrick Murphy who married Emma Hasse (daughter of Carl Hasse and Augusta Gohr). Mary Ann and William were married in Chicago in 1899, had two children, and by 1910 were divorced. Mary Ann later married Frank Lemberger, who died in 1916, then Franz Kriz, who died in 1951. Mary herself died in 1955 and was survived by daughter Grace Veronica Hurley and Dennis George Hurley.
