Rudy was the only surviving son of Wilhelm Gohr and Laura Kramp Gohr, born in 1883 in Chicago. He was likely named after his father's brother Rudolph Gohr, who remained in Pomerania and its environs. Rudy was a pressman in a printing operation in Chicago and was a frequent visitor to his siblings. This may be the home of his older sister Anna Gohr Glawe, and one of her daughters may be the blonde girl on the porch. Rudy never married. He died in Chicago in 1948.
