Dransfeld is the birthplace of our Jatho patriarch, Georg Wilhelm Jatho (1824-1870). This a copy of an original engraving from 1625 by Daniel Meisner (1585-1625) and Eberhart Kieser (1583-1631). Meisner was a Bohemian/German poet. Kieser a German publisher and engraver. The theme is "The art of opening your doors for true friendship" with representatives of poetry and science greeting each other in the town of Dransfeld.
