The full snapshot is dated September 1943 so we know that Leo was dating Lolus Bruns by this point, otherwise this photo would never have been kept in the photo collection of the Glawe family. Dorothy Glawe was a cousin of Lolus Bruns, and Ted was Dorothy's son. Ted later used the surname Maynard when Dorothy married Andrew Maynard in 1949. Leo was a Navy man, enlisting in 1938, was on active duty during Pearl Harbor in 1941, and separated from the Navy in 1945.
