Marie was the eldest child of Alva Elwood MacLaughlan and Marie Jatho MacLaughlan. She married Walter Miller Ronchitte (later Walter Miller) in 1941 and established a family in Omaha, Nebraska, where she probably didn't realize that many of her Petersen relatives had lived.
