Walter and Marie lived for a time in Chicago after their marriage. Later they and their three daughters eventually made their home in Omaha, Nebraska. Walter was more Scottish in origin than his wife Marie, who had no such heritage. Walter and his father William Ronchette (as the surname was then) were both born in Glasgow, Scotland.
